LOS ALTOS RESIDENCE

Designed for a young couple with three energetic girls, the Los Altos Residence stressed the need to utilize as much of the suburban cul de sac lot as possible.  The only deal-breakers for the clients on the property: the original wood-burning fireplace, and kidney shaped pool… that lived in the front yard. 

With these as the driver, the new home’s axis and connection is centered around the oversized hearth  Surrounded by Valley Oaks that offer an emphasized level of privacy, the great space features oversized, full-height pocket doors that open to both the front and rear yard, physically and visually connecting the lot together as one large enclosed and private outdoor space.

With simple and timeless material selections, the airy home is able to age well with the active family and it’s beautiful surroundings.
